You may have heard the saying ‘less is more,’ and in my experiences, it’s a powerful mantra if you’re looking to find your freedom when you move your body.
More doesn’t always lead to better
You may have noticed that most fitness training these days overly focuses on ‘more, more, more.’
- More muscle
- More strength
- More endurance
- More ripped
After spending most of my adult life pursuing more, I realised it can lead to endless striving and not really noticing what’s good about you right now.
The mindless pursuit of more can lead to the accumulation of C.R.A.P (Conditioned Restrictions And Patterns).
C.R.A.P in the context of your mind and body is as yuk as it sounds.
It’s an accumulation of a bunch of stuff you don’t actually need, and it can block you from living a life that’s aligned to that which you value deep inside.
- Stuff like unconsciously created physical tension
- Stuff like conditioned emotions and thoughts that take you out of the driver’s seat in your life
- Stuff like daily back pain
Sometimes to experience more, what we actually need is less
- Less tension
- Less daily back pain and niggling injuries
- Less C.R.A.P between you and deeper freedom in your body
Ultimately you need to find your unique balance, between less and more when it comes to training your body to feel free and awesome.
To do this I recommend to start by releasing excess tension and C.R.A.P from yourself …
How to release the C.R.A.P from your body and mind
To give you insights to this question, I decided to record a conversation with a fellow movement freedom explorer Tom Mountjoy.
When you watch the video below you’ll get our insights and learn from our experiences, so you can become more mindful and aware of the way you move and find your freedom.
The video goes for about 45 mins and you can see some of the major topics we discussed in the images below.
What you’ll learn in the video below:
There’s so many golden nuggets in the video, if you’re looking to feel more free in your body, so you can move better.

How to release stubborn muscular tension, better than a massage
When you feel free in your body, you feel confident and more able to take on any challenge in life, and every movement you do feels so joyful … Like when you were a kid.
I never thought I’d have this experience with my body as I battled a terrible spinal injury for years.
The Tension Release Technique was the processed I used to:
- re-align every joint in my body
- reverse the damage of years of physical neglect
- become free of injury
- perform at my best
I now teach this tension releasing process to hundreds of students around the world who experience similar results.
