In the beginning … I was training my body backwards
When I reflect on my journey to experience the potential of the human body and help others do the same. In the beginning I had things very backwards.
I was focusing on strengthening and stretching individual parts of it without understanding that they are all designed to work together … as one connected structure.
If you experience physical challenges like:
- Join and muscle pain
- Lack of co-ordination
- Difficulty to develop strength and flexibility
It can be a tell-tale sign that certain areas of your body are disconnected.
What do you mean my body is dis-connected!?
In the beginning it can sound strange to hear that parts of your body can be disconnected.
Most people interpret this as their arm has fallen off, or something very obvious like that.
But what we’re actually talking about here is something more subtle …
We’re talking about your ability to build your Internal Sensory Perception (I.S.P), deeply feel the many parts of your body and understand how they connect together during every breath, every movement.
Causes of physical disconnection
When you haven’t used an area of your body for some time, or you’ve used certain parts, or movement patterns too much …
Tension can build up and restrict your movement, through injuries, general stiffness or pain.
When any area of the body doesn’t move for a prolonged period, we can begin to lose sensitivity and feeling.
And the areas we can’t feel in our bodies, we have a hard time consciously controlling.
Bringing the feeling back
I’ve found that you can re-awaken your body and learn to feel what’s going on deep inside of it by building connection and sensitivity with our fascia system.
It took me a many years of trial and error and practicing many different forms of movement, from internal martial arts, to gymnastics to Feldenkrais to discover an efficient process to do this. I call this the Tension Release Technique (TRT).
I’d like to make the physical connection process smoother and faster for you
